50 years Brucknerhaus Linz

The Brucknerhaus Linz is celebrating its 50th anniversary with a grand musical festival. Join us in celebrating this special occasion!

22.3. MARKUS POSCHNER & BRUCKNER ORCHESTER LINZ

As in 1974, the Bruckner Orchestra Linz and its chief conductor Markus Poschner will perform a concert on the evening before the ceremony in 2024, featuring a world premiere and two works with Linz connections. Rudolf Jungwirth's "LETTERS" and two iconic symphonies will be presented: Beethoven's Eighth Symphony, inscribed "Sinfonia Lintz im Monath October 1812", and Bruckner's First Symphony in the version of its Linz premiere on 9 May 1868 in the Redoutensaal.

23.3. ZUBIN MEHTA & WIENER PHILHARMONIKER

Exactly 50 years to the day after its opening, the Brucknerhaus Linz is celebrating its milestone birthday with a special combination of ceremony and concert, modelled on the festivities of 1974. After speeches and congratulatory messages from prominent guests from the worlds of culture, politics and society, the Vienna Philharmonic under the baton of star conductor Zubin Mehta will perform a fitting and monumental 'birthday serenade' in the form of Anton Bruckner's Symphony No. 7 in E major.
