Safe at the Brucknerhaus Linz

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,
Dear public,

It is the task of Austrian health policy to protect the population as best as possible against potential risks from the coronavirus. As you will have gathered from the recent decisions of the Upper Austrian government and the Linz municipal authorities, all concert halls and indoor sports facilities, among others, will have to be closed as of next week in order to contain any further spread of the virus. The LIVA Linzer Veranstaltungsgesellschaft is therefore once again suspending its current event operations as of 22 November.

"I welcome the Upper Austrian government's decision to impose a lockdown to contain the Corona pandemic. We - the houses of the LIVA - fully support this decision, as the current situation requires solidarity and a close alliance. Of course, it is a pity that we will not be able to welcome our loyal audience in our houses in the coming weeks, as all events in front of an audience will have to be cancelled. The popular Musical Advent Calendar at the Brucknerhaus, however, will take place as planned between 1 and 23 December 2021. The short Christmas concerts, which begin at 6 p.m. on weekdays and at 5 p.m. on weekends as well as on public holiday, 8 December, can be followed via a free livestream on our homepage, www.brucknerhaus.at." (Dietmar Kerschbaum, Artistic Director of LIVA, Artistic Director of the Brucknerhaus Linz)

LIVA is trying to offer alternative dates for affected performances as far as possible. Please refer to the respective programme pages on the homepages of the LIVA houses (Brucknerhaus, Posthof, Kuddelmuddel, LIVA Sport) for continuously updated information on the individual events. An overview of the postponed/cancelled events at the Brucknerhaus Linz as well as ticket information can be found here!

The BRUCKNER'S restaurant is also closed.

The management of LIVA takes the situation very seriously and is in constant contact with the authorities in order to be able to continue to take immediate and correct action in the event of measures being necessary at short notice. Recommended protective measures and frequently asked questions on the subject of coronavirus can be found on the AGES homepage at www.ages.at/coronavirus, 24-hour hotline: 0800 555 621.

We thank you for your understanding and look forward to welcoming you back as soon as possible!
