Welcome to the Brucknerhaus Linz

Its location in the Donaupark, its timelessly elegant architecture, but above all the excellent acoustics of its two halls make the Brucknerhaus in Linz one of the most attractive concert venues in the world. Opened in 1974 by the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Herbert von Karajan, it provides a wonderful setting for renowned orchestras, conductors and soloists from around the world. In addition to stars from the international classical music scene, the Brucknerhaus is also a regular guest venue for national music stars and offers young talents the opportunity to acquire their first important musical experiences.

The International Bruckner Festival Linz, organised by the Brucknerhaus, which takes place every year from September 4th (Bruckner's birthday) to October 11th (the date of Bruckner's death), also takes place for the most part in the Brucknerhaus. The visualised Klangwolke, part of the Bruckner Festival, is also an event staged by the Brucknerhaus, and often assumes theatrical proportions.

But the Brucknerhaus is by no means only a stage for classical music. It organises around 180 of its own events each year, covering a wide spectrum of themes from jazz, world music and readings, to a wide range of children's and youth concerts. Guest promoters enhance the programme with ballet and musical performances, folk concerts and much more. The Bruckner's restaurant, run by the DoN group, has been catering for visitors' culinary needs since the autumn of 2018.

In addition to the three halls of the Brucknerhaus a selection of cultural events takes place in external venues.
